🎶“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!”🎶
Halloween has passed, and November has arrived which officially means that we’ve entered the holiday season. There’s much to do in order to prepare for this season and we’re here to help guide you through one of the most important aspects, the decorating.
What’s in Style?
Keep it natural this year! Perhaps instead of going for the multicolored strands of lights, opt for the white lights and green garland intertwined. You can also find lots of fun ways to incorporate fresh greenery, dried foliage, and raw wood to your holiday decor, on both the exterior and the interior!
If you’re decorating the outside of your home, chances are you’ll be using a ladder. Make sure you’re operating it safely! Here are a few of our ladder safety tips, to keep you healthy:
Always maintain 3 point contact, two feet and one hand on at all times
Read and follow all of the labelings
Inspect the ladder before using it
Make sure you have a spotter
Do not use the ladder if it’s raining outside
Protect the Roof
Making your house look stunning for the holidays is unfortunately not the main priority
One thing you should always be cautious of when decorating the exterior of your home is protecting it. A lot of classic holiday decor items like lights, garland, and other hanging items are meant to be attached to your gutters and eaves. However, these parts of your home weren’t meant to hold that much weight, especially if it’s raining at the time as well, this could cause some serious damage.
Make sure not to be too heavy-handed when hanging items off of your home, and instead opt for draping lights over trees, shrubs, and the lawn.
