Feng Shui Your Home

As we begin to settle into the new year, remember that it’s never too late to set resolutions or make changes in your life. One thing we would add to your list of resolutions is to improve the feng shui of your home.

What is Feng Shui?

The practice of feng shui dates back to ancient China where they used energy forces to harmonize individuals with their surrounding environments. The definition of the individual words means wind and water, both of which are associated with good health and good fortune in Chinese culture.

The philosophy of feng shui is a practice of arranging the pieces in living spaces in order to invite good fortune into one’s home and to flow throughout the home easily. We are able to do this by designing our homes with good feng shui in mind so that our spaces are in natural harmony with energy.

How Can I Feng Shui My Home?

Feng shui is all about energy. Letting good energy into your home, and creating a smooth path for that energy to flow throughout your home. So it makes sense that one of the first things you’ll need to do to feng shui your home is focus on the front door.

The front door is where all of the energy and good fortune enters your room, so make sure to pay special attention here.

First, you’ll want to make sure the door itself is working properly and that it can open a full 90 degrees. This will allow all of the opportunities for good fortune and energy to enter your home. Next, you’ll need to declutter the space. Make sure there’s nothing blocking the path from the door through the entryway, and eliminate objects and items that don’t need to be in this space.

After covering the front door, make sure the rest of your home’s exterior is in good order. For help with inspecting your roof and siding, we can help! Visit our website or contact our team today for more information about our services!
